Introduction to The Grave Muse

I used to photograph cemeteries; a lot. It was a way for me to escape alone, with my camera, into an open-air art gallery, a museum of social history and a nature reserve.

I'm not sure where my taphophilia came from. Quick definition:

Looking back, I think I was always a dark little soul. The books I read, the films I loved, and the places I felt most comfortable in would always seem to others a little on the morbid side. However, I never did see them as morbid and finally, when the internet came into my life, I realised that I was in no way alone.

So this is going to be my blog/ website/ a place to put my musings and collections relating to being a taphophile.
